Illness lately has plagued the land of Oppermania. Thankfully it hasn’t reached all of our tribe, but the select few that have fallen victim fell pretty hard.
Being the half crunchy mama that I am, I rarely use conventional medications to cure our illnesses. Although sometimes medicine is necessary I purpose myself to use as many natural methods as possible.
If you are interested in stocking your medicine cabinet in a less conventional manner and seek to use more natural means, read on. I offer you my essential ingredients for every mama’s medicine chest. I have broken them into two categories, Reactive, and Proactive.
Hey mom, I am so excited to share this secret weapon with you today. There for awhile in our house I used Apple Cider Vinegar for just about everything. Say what you will, but it remains one of my secret weapons!
First off not all Apple Ciders Vinegars (ACV) are created equal. If you want to maximize the power of ACV, you will need to buy a version that still has the “mother”. Most store-bought kinds of vinegar go through distillation. Which means that most of the beneficial enzymes and healing properties are killed off in the heating process, so you lose the effectiveness.
I recommend using only raw and unfiltered vinegar such as Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar. If you are feeling adventurous, however, you can always make your own.
